Initial Flight and First Night

Ok, Im going to apologize first off about how possibly horrible these journal entries can get and with some rambling as well.

So my first flight left at 0025 from SFO. I was quite shocked of the fact that the airport closes most of its shops/bars before any last flights leave the airport. Anyway, I was worried about the plane ride as my longest plane ride at about 14-16 hour flight to Taipei. The seating was nice the the crew was super polite as well. I actually was able to get some broke-type sleep on the plane which basically involved naps throughout the ride, but of course this was after serving us dinner on the plane. Also haven't had that in a while either, but on the taipei flight there were essentially two types of choices of food, Chinese and western, in which both had just about the same ingredients in one as the other, just prepared differently. The flight also came with full interactive screens with movies as well, I watched the movie "The Equalizer", its a great movie by the way. The seats reclined a bit more than usual with also some leg rests that had no effect on me as it was meant for short people who can't reach the ground with their feet. Breakfast was just as interesting as dinner.

Landing in other airports, its quite surprising how nice and upscale they really are. Landing in Taipei, was very interesting as you see how much people buy into the whole "duty free" buying. Also the biggest purchased items, usually the perfumes (expensive) and the alcohol (super-overpriced). Exchanging money in the airport isn't as accurate as google would tell you about the exchange rates. Also other countries love american fast food, which is crazy to me. After about 26 hours of flying we finally made it to the destination, Tired and sitting in traffic, the lifestyle here is a big wake up call.

We finished up the evening with some great Indian food. I loved the Tandoori Chicken the most!

BREAKFAST!!!
